Mark opened Tarbell鈥檚 Restaurant in 1994, which has earned more than 50 industry awards, including Food & Wine鈥檚 鈥淏est Restaurant鈥? Mark has been nominated for James Beard鈥檚 鈥淏est Chef 鈥 Southwest鈥 and in 2017 was nominated for a Rocky Mountain Regional Emmy for his role in hosting 鈥淐heck Please Arizona鈥 on Arizona PBS. Currently, he is the host of a new PBS show named Plate & Pour.

Mark competed and won Food Network鈥檚 鈥淚ron Chef America鈥 and has appeared on 鈥淕ood Morning Arizona鈥 as well as programs like 鈥淕ood Morning America鈥 and the 鈥淭oday Show in NYC鈥? He鈥檚 also appeared on Fine Living, Lifetime and several Food Network programs. Mark has cooked 9 dinners at the James Beard House in NYC.

Yuko Sakurai, Beverage Director, Shunji Japanese Cuisine

Yuko Sakurai
After graduating from University of Southern California in Cinematic Art, critical studies, Yuko returned to Japan and worked as a journalist for 10 years. Her journalism career led to film production which eventually brings her back to the U.S. Shortly after, she discovers a career in the culinary arts. She is currently in charge of the beverage program at Shunji, a renowned Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles with the owner-chef Nakao.
